Getting to Blinky 5.0

Overview

Getting to Blinky 5.0 is a short video series introducing the key concepts of using the open source ECAD software KiCad. You will be building a small blinking board to cover each of these concepts.

Prerequisites

  • You should have KiCad 5.1.x or higher installed on your computer.
  • Hardware required
    • Soldering equipment

Learning Objectives

  • Understand how to use the base functions of the 5.0 version of KiCad.
  • Create a small circuit board that blinks and LED using a 555 timer, battery and small components.
  • Learn how to solder and troubleshoot a circuit.
