You have built simple hardware before like your own Getting to Blinky board. You are ready to move to the next level and begin picking out parts and implementing application circuits on custom boards.
Who are you?
Members with early electronics experience have often built a variety of small kits and are well versed in working with development boards like Arduinos. They are ready to start making breakout boards and custom hardware to work with these systems, either because they cannot get the hardware they need or because they’re looking to eventually make fully custom systems. These members have often done a layout or two and are ready to do more in-depth system designs.
Get Started With Contextual Electronics
The membership levels of CE are aspirational. The likely best membership for members at this stage of their electronics journey would likely be the Apprenticeship Level. This level will probably not challenge members who have already been building their own simple hardware as much as “refresh” skills that were dormant. The members with the above experience may also choose to go for broke and immediately sign up for the Journeyman Level; this will a more in-depth way to use CE and will have more ambitious build goals at the end of 6 months. Master level should be reserved for once they have worked through one of the other levels first.
Members at this level may also wish to purchase tutoring on an as-needed basis. This will provide in-depth guidance of the coursework or can be used to discuss non-CE projects.
